business card | ashton events

I was thrilled for the opportunity to work with my friend Laura at Ashton Events to create her business card.  She came to me with a great logo (and wonderful website, too!) and asked for a killer card to go with it.This standard-sized card is printed on Crane's 220# Lettra (their thickest) and is mighty cool, if I say so myself.  The two-color design was augmented by a half-tone treatment of the word "events," which...

A preview of the wax seal we're using for Clayton's thank yous and our new wax seal.  I'm just a little excited about this one! Clayton's will be getting a treatment with a deep brown wax and we haven't quite settled on ours yet....

We are so excited for what this year has in store.  We're in the throes of a ridiculously cool project with our friend, wedding photographer Clayton Austin, that is going to blow you away. spotted in the “wild”

This weekend, we visited the Tampa Bridal Showcase, hosted by Monica of Elan Event Studio.  It was a chance to see a couple of our pieces out in the "wild" of a bridal show. This great photo display from 12-1 Photography included our laser-engraved wood nameplate, mounted on hand-hammered metal. We also did menus and placecards for MMD Events and ELD for their modern grey and purple table display.  Love the table number Lauren put together for...

wood and paper – Barrington Hill Invitation

You may have already seen these Art Deco-inspired letterpress invitations in our 100LayerCake photo shoot at Barrington Hill Farm, but you didn't get a chance to see what takes this suite from very nice to over the top. Look in the bottom left-hand corner. Can you see it? Yep.  That's real maple.  We backed the invitation, RSVP and address card in maple veneer, making these some of the thickest invitations you've ever seen. The maple in these invitations...

an open letter

an open letter to wedding planners and the event industry You work hard to craft amazing events.  Very hard. You guide your client to just the right caterer to handle their vega-pesca-localvore tastes.  You pull out your Pantone swatch book to find just the right gel color to compliment the bridesmaid's dresses while muting the orange glow of the MOB's horrible spray tan.  You deftly deliver every item on the band's rider; even sourcing a case of...

plantable luncheon menu

Yep. The plantable papers from Porridge Papers (the paper we used for Taylor and Whitney's plantable invitation) have been pretty popular around here! Our local chapter of the Association of Bridal Consultants asked us to create this menu for their monthly meeting recently out of it recently. Not only does lunch sounds delicious, but we think these menus are pretty delectable, too. The Chapter's theme was green events and printing on Porridge's plantable seed papers seemed like a...
