Music Mondays: because life’s better with a soundtrack.
My memory is pretty good. In fact, it’s so good it remembers doing things I haven’t actually done. My wife can attest to this.
Hence my surprise when I realized that I have not yet taken a moment to share with you one of my favorite musical discoveries of 2014. It was a recommendation from my (non-jazz) go-to music buddy, Shane of Hypergiant Industries.
The band is Foxing.
Their debut full length, released in 2013, is a haunting journey. The rawness of Conor Murphy’s singing – the lyrics and the vocals – is just heart-wrenching.
This is not hype music.
This is the real deal and an incredible soundtrack for moments of longing and introspection.
