4-color CMYK Letterpress Postcard

Most letterpress printers will tell you that the medium excels at printing one- to three-color text and line art (and smaller solid areas).

They’re right.

But until the middle of the last century, letterpress was the way pretty much everything was printed…even full-color photos.

And, while the process has all sorts of limitations, 4-color (or CMYK) letterpress printing is the perfect way to elicit a vintage photo feel.

We recreated this vintage postcard of a Sarasota, Fla landmark in four colors and duplexed it to 1-color save-the-date details for an extra-thick, high-impact mailing.

We always try to make our work a gift to the final recipients. The photo side didn’t include any details of the big day, making it an evergreen art piece that guests might be inclined to display long after the wedding day.

4-color process letterpress photo duplexed to 1-color letterpress Save the Dates on Classic Crest natural white.

Starting at $22 per postcard.
