It’s barely a week into the new year and 2015 is already shaping up to be an incredible one for A Fine Press!
There are a few things happening this January that I’m thrilled about, but a couple will have to be for another time.
For today, I’ve got two exciting things to share:
The Letterpress Division
While far from the only thing offered by A Fine Press, letterpress printing has been an integral part of our services from day one. If you follow me on instagram, you know that it’s yours truly manning the presses for each and every letterpress project we produce.
I’m thrilled to officially announce that The Letterpress Division of A Fine Press is officially open to graphic designers and agencies looking to make their mark with printed goods.
These services are specifically for clients with finished artwork who are looking for letterpress, foil stamping, embossing, diecutting, and other finish work.
The bare bones of our new website (which I’ve teased a time or two) can be found at letterpress.afinepress.com.
Lettering Prints
In conjunction with the opening of The Letterpress Division, I’m excited to share with you a monthly project for 2015:
Lettering|Letterpress
Each month in 2015, I’ll be releasing a limited-edition print in collaboration with a lettering artist. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
I’ve got a good part of the year already lined up and am thrilled to share January’s print with you.
“Livin the Dream” is a design by Scott Biersack, a letterer/designer in Phoenix.
I approached Scott a few months ago because I was drawn to his bold, illustrative style. I’m also a big fan of chalk lettering and Scott’s a promising, passionate voice in the art.

I’ve printed 100 numbered, limited-edition 8×10″ prints of Scott’s “Livin the Dream” design in Gold Foil on French 140# Black Muscletone paper. They’re available for $25 through The Letterpress Division or on Etsy.
