It’s a coin toss…

by | Nov 3, 2013 | Uncategorized | 2 comments

I can’t remember where I first heard the following quote:

“When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you, but because, in that brief moment with the coin is in the air, you suddenly know what you’re hoping for.”

I can’t think of a phrase that better applies to my life right now. Kicked out of a nest I’ve relied on, my proverbial coin is in the air and I know which side I want it to land on.

Now begins the hard work. Making things happen.

Have you ever been kicked out of the nest? How did you handle it? What did it look like when the coin finally landed?

I’ve been kicked out of two nests, but I’ve jumped out of many more. Overall, it has been a boost to my confidence (but generally not to my bank account). It’s amazing how things have a way of working out when you believe in what you are doing. Those flights between nests have also helped me learn who my real supporters are, and that it’s ok to depend on them. Your work looks awesome. Keep it up!

      There’s a solidarity to it.

I’m still in what feels like a freefall, but the land I’m starting to see is lush (and softer than I had imagined).

Thanks for the kind words, Jeff.
