creative spaces

Creatives, take note!

If you’ve met me in person, you probably know that I’ve been preaching the gospel of shared creative space in Central Florida (more specifically, Lakeland) for quite some time. In order to build a culture of creativity, we need to have spaces designed for serendipity. I’ve been talking with all sorts of people about ways to do that in my town and help others do it in theirs.

I was kicked with a jolt of major inspiration today by way of Jasmine Star’s post about her new studio space (owned by Mattson Creative). Will you please take a look at this? (photos courtesy Mattson Creative and Jasmine Star)

No, Lakeland Doesn’t have any lima bean mills. In fact, it barely has any buildings that old at all. But I can see this concept (and feel) working here. Who’s in?
