GAME RECOGNIZE GAME 2/MANY

It takes one to know one.

A saying birthed on the courts and celebrated in culture, this is my attempt to honor the people who inspire me.

As often happens lately, @rickrubin has rewired my brain. This is a project birthed of my realization that I had set impossible boundaries around my desire to honor these people – the need to foil stamp_emboss_letterpress print my way into their mailboxes and do so en masse. A sisyphean task by most measures, impossible for me.

Instead, I choose to play in the sandbox. Create for an audience of one and bring you along for the ride.

So I made this piece, inspired by its recipient, as a shot across the bow. No more need to send a paper rectangle as a way of communicating – an invitation, an announcement, a call to action.

Instead, here’s a gift. A moment to recognize your humanity and badassery. To tell the people I admire, one-by-one, that they mean the world to me. Something every couple or business can offer their people.

I hope it inspires you to be the conduit for the art you want to see in the world. And I hope this find you well.
