Birthday on the Vineyard

Brian’s birthday plans for his wife, Tara, were a perfect time capsule of a moment in their life – building a new home in a new city, celebrating friends, family, and accomplishments, and enjoying it in one of their favorite places – Martha’s Vineyard.

Capturing some of the most compelling impressions from each of these elements was an incredible joy and exciting challenge. We created a modern toile de Jouy for the custom box that housed a wood picture-frame-trim panel (a reference to one of Tara’s favorite parts of their new house) and one of her favorite Justin Timberlake quotes.

The rest of the invitation played on the visual language and themes of Tara’s life, leaving an impression not just of the party, but, of Tara’s life on guests’ front porch.
