Music Mondays: because life’s better with a soundtrack.
Note: No, I’m not unaware of the GRAMMYs having happened last night. I just happen to think they’re not all that relevant. Particularly for any music deeper than the hit parade. That’s not to say I wouldn’t accept one if I won.
I’m not an Idol fan, but I’m incredibly amused that the show that ruined America’s taste for true musical talent (and replaced it with some obnoxious “star quality”) brought in such a class act to mentor contestants. Look, I’m an instrumentalist and even I understand the importance of knowing the lyrics and the meaning of a song you’re performing. I’m a bass player, for crying out loud, and I get it.
Every clip I see of HCJ on Idol proves yet again what a class act he is.
