I’ve been meaning to do this project for a few months and finally gathered all the materials and carved out the time to do so this week.
I had some leather left over from The Album and the original case I had for this thing was falling apart, so I grabbed a needle and thread, a good knife, and some Have Gun, Will Travel.
Can you guess what it is?
Any guesses yet?
Answer below the fold
It’s a case for my loupe. This is technically a fabric loupe, but the design and magnification level work perfectly for inspecting impression and ink coverage.
I can’t wait to see how this piece ages.
Of course, I’d love to incorporate hand-sewn rustic leather into your wedding invitations or other stationery. If you’re interested in such a thing, contact us to begin the journey.
very cool. I love it and want one…
The loupe or the case?
We need more “carry it everyday” items that get more interesting age and come with stories.
It’s true! I’m excited to watch this one change as it ages. Hopefully the loupe will last as long as the case!
